“Midst”—Kwt taw'-vek—Midst, middle. Strong—from an unused root meaning to sever; A bisection, i.e. (by implication) The centre:-- Among(-st), X between, half, X (there-,where-), in(-to), middle, mid[-night],midst (among), X out (of), X through, X with(-in).

“Knowledge”—ted dah'-ath—N. common feminine singular construct—1) Knowledge—1a) Knowledge, perception, skill, 1b) Discernment, understanding, wisdom. Strong—Knowledge:-- Cunning, [ig-]norantly, know(-ledge), [un-]awares (wittingly).

“Evil”—er rah —Adj. masculine singular absolute—Bad, evil. Strong–Bad or (as noun) evil (natural or moral).

:10—“Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, & from there it parted & became four riverheads.”

From the place known as Eden, a river flowed. the river watered the garden itself. From the garden, the river then divided becoming the source of four rivers.

The usual expectation of the flow of rivers today is that rivers come together to form larger rivers. The Eden river is just the opposite, as its strength is divided into four ?smaller? rivers.

These four rivers are named & described in :11-14 in terms ?familiar? to or discoverable by the Israelite audience.

“Went out of”—auy yaw-tsaw'—V. “Water”(See :6)—hqv shaw-kaw'—V. Hifil infinitive Construct—To give to drink, irrigate, drink, water, cause to drink water. 1a) (Hiphil)—1a1) To water, irrigate,1a2) To water, give drink to. Strong—To quaff, i.e. (causatively) To irrigate or furnish a potion to:-- Cause to (give, give to, let, make to) drink, drown, moisten, water.

“Parted”—drp paw-rad'—V. Nifal imperfect third masculine singular—To separate, divide—1b) (Niphal)—1b1) To divide, separate, 1b2) To be divided, be separated.

“Became”(See :24)—hyh haw-yaw—V.
