Summary: Knowing God's Will for your life.

Romans 12:1-2

Question: How do I discover God’s Will for my life?

Step One: Dedication

Vs. 1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.” (NIV)

Three Characteristics: “Offer your bodies as living sacrifices…”

It is Voluntary!

It is Practical!

It is Complete!

Key: Worship isn’t just something you do on Sunday but anytime you make a commitment of your life to God.

Step Two: Insulation

Vs. 2a “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world…” (NIV)

Peanuts “I can resist any pressure except peer!”

There are two extremes:

The Isolationists—“I don’t want anything to do with the world.”

The Imitates—“What ever the world does I will do.”

1 John 2:17

Step Three: Transformation

Vs. 2b “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (NIV)

2 Corinthians 3:18

Renewing your Mind:

God’s Will is always found in God’s Word!

God’s Will never contradicts God’s Word!

Galatians 1:8

Vs. 2c “Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is…” (NIV)

God Will is…

It is good! Jeremiah 29:11

It is pleasing!

It is perfect!

Question: Have you already said yes to God’s Will?
