Disciple's Prayer

1 Timothy 2:1-8

1. Who are we to pray for? (Verse 1 – 2a)

A. Everyone (Verse 1)

B. For kings and for all in authority (Verse 2a)

2. Why are we to pray? (Verse 2b – 4)

A. That we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity (Verse 2b)

B. This is good and pleasing to God our savior (Verse 3)

C. Who wills everyone to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth (Verse 4)

3. How are we to pray? (Verse 5-8)

A. Asked for Jesus mediation (Verse 5 – 6)

B. Acceptance of the will of God in your life as a true servant (Verse 7)

C. That in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument (Verse 8)
