Summary: Abraham was a well digger, and Isaac followed his dad and went back to re-dig the wells that the unbelievers had filled up. We too are to be well diggers. Are you one?

God gives us a promise, that we will live forever with Him, if we confess Christ as our Lord and Savior. He said in John’s Gospel, that He is the door of the sheepfold, and that there is no other was to go to heaven. Listen to His words to the disciples in John 14:6, “I am the way the truth and the life, no man cometh to the Father but by me.”

Acts 4:12, says, “There is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved.” There is only one way, and that way is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Rehoboth

Rehoboth means, Fruitfulness.

The story is told by Dr. John R. Rice, that once he was preaching in a conference with the late Gypsy Smith. After the service he walked out of the building to catch a cab back to his motel, once in the cab, he began to witness to the driver, whereupon the driver with tears in his eyes, told him that a strange little man had already won him to Christ. Gypsy Smith had already gone before brother Rice and led this cab driver to Christ. What a testimony to these great men of God. There is fruit out there, the trouble is that most don’t go and witness for the Lord.

Soul winning is the main business of the Christian. We should try to reach everyone we can for Christ. There is no excuse for a child of God not to share their Lord with others. This is the very reason that we are still here on this earth.

One night some years ago, I was coming through a small town in Georgia, and noticed a light on in a downtown building. It was about two o’clock in the morning, and everything else in this little town was closed. Upon seeing this light I felt led of God to stop and

witness to who ever was inside. Going into the building, I found a man working on a stairway, he was placing floor tile on the stairs, and looked up at me with a rather strange look. It was as if he thought I was there to rob him or something. I politely asked him his name and gave him my name to assure him I was not up to anything. I then asked him the question, I have asked so many. If you died today, do you know you would go to heaven?

"No sir," was his reply, "I don’t know that. I wish I could know it though."

If I could show you that one can know it, would you listen? "I sure would," he said.

To that I took out my New Testament and began to go through the Romans road of salvation with him, He was gloriously saved that night, and the power of God flooded the place so that he had to sit down beside his table saw to gain composure. His remark was,

boy I wish I had done this a long time ago, but no body told me how. This man is still in God’s service as a deacon of a local Church.

You can win them if you will just go and do it. Don’t go to heaven empty handed, take someone with you, for Jesus sake. Win someone today, give out Gospel tracks, or share you own personal testimony with someone you love, or even your enemies.

Jesus is still in the saving business today, but He wants us to labor in His harvest. Will you?

Let us re-dig some of God’s wells today!

Jesus said in Mark 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye unto all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.” Again in Matthew 28:19, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost;”
