I. EXORDIUM:

Do you have detractors in life?

Yes. Even JESUS has.

II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:

Believers/unbelievers

III. OBJECTIVES:

To show that our detractors or enemies are being destroyed by GOD to show His love for us.

Exodus 23:22 But if you will indeed listen to and obey His voice and all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

Psalms 143:12 Show how much you love me by destroying my enemies.

IV. TEXT:

Psalms 40:15 Let them be desolate by reason of their shame who say to me, Aha, aha!

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are our Protection against our accusers and enemies, and You have removed our condemnation. HALLELUJAH!!

Isaiah 54:17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness {or} the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

Romans 8:1 THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, {who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.}

John 3:18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation--he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in {and} trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ's name.]

VI. TITLE:

Desolation For The Judgemental

VII. EXPLICATION:

Take from Summarized Bible

A. Contents: God’s salvation extolled and prayer for deliverance.

B. Characters: God, David.

C. Conclusion: Those who seek God in all their perplexities shall rejoice and be glad in Him, for He will not only be found of them, but will be their bountiful rewarder, wherefore, they should say continually, “the Lord be magnified.”

D. Key Word: Praise and prayer, Psa_40:3, Psa_40:13.

E. Strong Verses: Psa_40:2, Psa_40:16.

F. Striking Facts: Psa_40:6-8. The offerings had their worth only as types of the sacrifice of Christ, but when He came, as it was foretold in the volume of the Book, they ceased to be of worth. He alone completely did the will of God. Our expiation from sin is due not to us, but our Substitute’s obedience to the will of Jehovah.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

Psalms 40:15 Let them be desolate by reason of their shame who say to me, Aha, aha!

A. Desolation is a reward

"Let them be desolate by reason of their shame"

Desolate came from the Hebrew word:"shamem" meaning to stun, devastate, stupefy, destitute, waste, wonder, destroy. This is where we get our english word "shame"

Hosea 2:12 And I will lay waste {and} destroy her vines and her fig trees of which she has said, These are my reward {or} loose woman's hire that my lovers have given me; and I will make [her plantations] an inaccessible forest, and the wild beasts of the open country shall eat them.

Desolation is a reward as well, a negative reward that are prepared for the lawless, for those people who will not acknowledge JESUS as Truth, but will all continue to learn but never coming to the realization that they needed a Savior for their own life.

2 Timothy 3:7 [These weak women will listen to anybody who will teach them]; they are forever inquiring {and} getting information, but are never able to arrive at a recognition {and} knowledge of the Truth.

I always wanted to learn, learn the truth and apply it in my life. GOD helping me out to do this on a daily basis as I come to know the LORD JESUS in my life, He will apply all His Truths in my life. Me first, then the people that I will come across with.

James 1:22 But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth].
