Understand and trust in God's perfect timing, even when His answers seem delayed, as His divine delays are blessings in disguise.
Good morning, church family. I hope this day finds you blessed and well. Today, we're going to dive into a powerful message about God's perfect timing, waiting on His answers, and the blessings that come from His delayed responses.
As Ravi Zacharias once said, "Time is the brush of God, as he paints his masterpiece on the heart of humanity."
Let's read together from the book of John, chapter 11, verses 1-25:
In our human understanding, we often perceive time as linear, with a clear beginning, middle, and end. We expect things to happen in a certain order and within a certain timeframe. However, God's timing transcends our human comprehension. He operates outside the confines of our earthly time, and His timing is always perfect, even when it doesn't align with our expectations.
The story of Lazarus: We see that Jesus deliberately delayed His arrival. He received the news of Lazarus' sickness but chose to stay two more days in the place where He was. To the human eye, this delay might seem like negligence or indifference. But in reality, it was a divine delay orchestrated by God for a greater purpose. Jesus knew that Lazarus' sickness would not end in death but would be for the glory of God. His delay was not a denial but a divine setup for a miracle that would reveal His power and glory.
In our lives: We often find ourselves in situations similar to that of Mary and Martha. We pray and ask God for help, but it seems like He's delaying His answer. We may even feel like He's not listening or doesn't care about our struggles. But just like in the story of Lazarus, God's delay is not a denial. He hears our prayers, and He cares about our struggles. His delay is a divine setup for a greater blessing that's yet to come.
His perfect plan for our lives: He knows the end from the beginning, and He has a perfect plan for each one of us. His timing is not only about answering our prayers but also about aligning our lives with His perfect plan. When we align our lives with His plan and trust in His timing, we experience His blessings in ways we could never imagine.
His perfect love for us: He loves us so much that He's willing to delay His answers to our prayers to give us something better. His love for us is so great that He's willing to let us go through temporary pain for eternal gain. He's more interested in our eternal well-being than our temporary comfort. His delays are not a sign of His indifference but a sign of His deep love for us.
His perfect wisdom: He knows what's best for us, and He knows when it's best for us. He sees the bigger picture that we often fail to see. His wisdom is far greater than our understanding, and His timing is far better than our timing. When we trust in His wisdom and timing, we find peace and rest in the midst of our struggles.
