To show that JESUS's death made the new testament valid and effective and before He left, He left with us His Peace.

IV. TEXT:

Hebrews 9:17 (Amplified Bible)

9:17 For a will and testament is valid and takes effect only at death, since it has no force or legal power as long as the one who made it is alive.

V. THESIS:

Thank You very much LORD JESUS Your death made the new testament valid and effective in our days, now I have your most treasured possession living inside of me, that is You, the King and Prince of Peace.

A. The will and testament is valid and takes effect only at death

Galatians 3:15 (Amplified Bible)

3:15 To speak in terms of human relations, brethren, [if] even a man makes a last will and testament (a merely human covenant), no one sets it aside or makes it void or adds to it when once it has been drawn up and signed (ratified, confirmed).

Don't be fooled by someone else's statement, that if we do this and do that, we're under the law and grace has no effect on us, but the question to ask, are they more powerful than JESUS's death, who has made the new testament valid and in effect for our days? Of course not.

JESUS's Peace, the treasured possession He's going to leave with us, not money or riches but His Peace. Peace is therefore more priceless than money or any wealth in the world, think of it, the rich and famous people of the earth always tries to buy peace in the form of drugs and sleeping pills but they can't simply afford it.
