Message Point: When we are discouraged, we need to focus on God, not ourselves.
Focus Passage: I Kings 19:1-21
Introduction: Discouragement is dissatisfaction with the past, distaste for the present, and distrust of the future. It is ingratitude for the blessings of yesterday, indifference to the opportunities of today, and insecurity regarding strength for tomorrow.
Let this be a lesson to you men here this evening. Elijah wasn’t afraid of taking on 450 men, but one angry woman and ran for his life.
I. EXAMINE YOURSELF—EAT AND SLEEP.
II. Examine your focus (on God)
III. Enlist help.
IV. Don’t stop doing serving God
