Jesus Is Coming! Are you Prepared For it?

It is very important for us to always keep in mind that this time on earth is only a moment when compared to eternity. I understand that it is important that we live life to it’s fullest and enjoy every bit of

living here on earth, but still we need to always have the proper perspective and think about eternity. The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 4:18 "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are

temporary; but the things which are not seen are eternal." Our bodies will eventually die and return to the dust of the earth, but your spirit will never die. Always try to keep in mind that you have an eternal

spirit which is the real you that will live forever.

I watched the events of the Terrorist acts on television and my thoughts go back to the Day Pearl Harbor was bombed in 1941. It was a "Day in Infamy" and September 11,2001 has become another one of those

days. It seems as though even watching something that has been a real tragedy; there is also a real spiritual connection, God can use and teach a lesson on. As I was watching, the Spirit of the Lord began to

speak to my heart. The Lord said "look at all of the people in the World. They are watching the events of this great tragedy with greatenthusiasm but are not thinking about their eternity." I began to think

about this over and over again and soon enough I turned my attention and focused on the people. I watched the people and knew for sure that mostly all of them have lost loved ones.

While I was thinking about all of this I remembered the scripture found in James 4:14 "For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." How true that was in this

case. Even though life may seem to be long; when we think back, years fly by that seem like only weeks or months ago. Then there is the consideration of how quickly one’s life can be snuffed out by our own

actions or of another...such as the events September 11th. Let us be more mindful of our spirit that’s eternal and less about our physical being which is but for a moment. I encourage you to think about your eternal spirit and where you will spend eternity. If you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, pray and ask Him to come into your heart

and life. He promised to wash away every sin and make you a new creature in Christ.

Read these scriptures and meditate on them:

2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Matthew 24:44 Jesus says "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive

and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

John 11:25-26 Jesus says "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die".

A Day in Infamy

==============

Tuesday, September 11,2001 may be another "Day In Infamy" as was Pearl Harbor, but there is another thing to consider here. Have any one of you

considered the significance of this day in the Realm of God? The month of the year is the 9th month and the day is the 11th. This also is the number to emergency and the emergency number to God. (Psalm 91:1) Let is look at what Psalms 91 says:

(1) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (2)I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (3) Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. (4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (5)

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; (6) Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. (7) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. (8) Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward
