Deception and Darknes spell Danger

Gen. 32:24-30

Galatians 6:7

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (KJV)

God is Light---Halloweeners revel in darkness

1 Jn. 1:5

5 ¶ This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (KJV)

God is Life---Halloweeners love playing with death.

Jn. 14:6

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)

Jesus is Peace and Comfort----Halloween is about fear and chaos.

Eph. 2:14

14 ¶ For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (KJV)

The only ghost you need to seek after is the Holy Ghost. He will give you power for this last hour.

Jacob's name meant surplanter or deceiver. That revealed his character. He used deception, trickery, and disguise to obtain what he wanted.

It is the original trick or treat story.

He took advantage of the darkness of the life of Isaac, his dad. Isaac was blind.

He pretended to be somebody who he wasn't--Esau.

It was dangerous, but it seemed sweet for a while.

Then he fled for his life. He spent years being sorry, but yet unrepentant.

Yeah, he got the treat, but he got the trick also. The trick was on him.

Here at Peniel, Jacob wrestled with the Lord.

It started in the night but concluded at daylight.

You need to come out of the darkness and into the light of the glory of God. Leave the pretencious behind.

He got a new name---Israel = prince with God.

Jesus always spoils Halloween

Demons start crying when Jesus shows up.

Mt. 8:29

29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? (KJV)

29 Y he aquí, clamaron diciendo: ¿Qué tenemos que ver contigo, Jesús, Hijo de Dios? ¿Has venido acá para atormentarnos antes de tiempo? (RVG04)

The devil will have to leave when Jesus in on the scene

Mt. 8:31

31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. (KJV)

Jesus is glorified when the devil is humiliated.

Lk. 4:36

36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. (KJV)

Jesus is magnified to the world each time He overcomes the demons of hell.

Lk. 4:37

37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about. (KJV)
