Dare To Dream

Summary: Dreaming is dangerous work, do you have what it takes to be a dreamer?
Joseph was a dreamer
He was favored of his father
God is looking for people like Joseph who will dare to dream.
Dreaming is dangerous work, you see from Josephs life that dreaming can get you into a lot of trouble.
If you are going to dream there are some things you have to have in your life.
Imagination, Courage, Commitment, Patience, Endurance, Discipline.
All the people that affected a change in history have been dreamers.
All the people that are honored by Gods word have been dreamers.
Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joseph, David, John Baptist, Jesus.
The ultimate dreamer has always been God, In fact every dreamer that has ever lived in the kingdom of God did nothing but embrace Gods dream.
A great tragedy in the church is to lose our dreamers, dreamers are like the spies who go ahead of us and spy out the land, and bring us samples of the promises to come.
A greater tragedy is for us to kill our dreamers (because they bring us samples and evidence of more and better things).
Why? : Because their dreams call us beyond our traditions, and past experiences, and convict us of settling for less than Gods best.
Joshua and Caleb were dreamers, they embraced Gods dream for Israel, and their dreams prepared them for the promise.
There are 2 classes of Christians in the church. Boat sitters and Water walkers
or Dreaders, and Dreamers
Dreaders say, boy i’m sure thankful for this boat now I won’t have to get wet.
Dreaders say, If everybody will just be calm and quiet we won’t get any water in the boat.
Dreamers say: It’s a nice little boat and it will help me get out to where Jesus is so I can start walking on the water.
Dreamers say: Thanks for the ride, but Jesus is walking on the water and I’d rather be out there with him on the water than sitting in this boat.
I’d rather be a wet walker than a dry boat sitter.
Dreamers know: You can’t walk on the water while sitting in the boat, To walk where Jesus walks there are some things you got to let go of.
Mt 14:28-29 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
Dreamers are dangerous people, They’re always rocking the boat, there is always something better that has caught their attention, and they refuse to be satisfied without it.
There are not many dreamers today
Many of them have been killed, not by the devil but by religion, tradition,
It was Josephs brothers that wanted him dead, his dreams threatened them.
God is looking for people who will dare to dream, who will see him outside of their boat of traditional church or Christianity, and who will get out of their boat to walk with him.
Peter was the only disciple who literally walked on the water with Jesus,
They all could have, but the rest were satisfied to watch from the safety of their boat.
They had more faith in their boat than in Jesus.
We can’t be too quick to criticize them we have all done the same thing.
God raise up dreamers today,
Dream Big It’s alright Because we have a Big God.
Dare To Dream.
