VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. CHRIST is over the House of His Father

"I will confirm him as king over my house and my kingdom for all time"

Mark 11:17 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.”

Isaiah 56:7 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

I will bring them to my holy mountain of Jerusalem and will fill them with joy in my house of prayer. I will accept their burnt offerings and sacrifices, because my Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations.

Jeremiah 7:11 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Don’t you yourselves admit that this Temple, which bears my name, has become a den of thieves? Surely I see all the evil going on there. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Hebrews 3:5-6 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Moses was certainly faithful in God’s house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later.

But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.

We are in awe of the life of men of GOD in the Old Testament which have also amazed GOD as well. We see prophet Elisha whose bones can still resurrect a dead man, Elijah taken by chariots of fire, Joshua commanding sun and moon. Yet all of them are faithful in GOD's house as servants and not as Son, while CHRIST who is inside of us, is and was faithful forever as a Son.

2 Kings 13:21 (New Century Version)

Once as some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a group of Moabites coming. The Israelites threw the dead man into Elisha’s grave. When the man touched Elisha’s bones, the man came back to life and stood on his feet.

2 Kings 2:11 (Amplified Bible)

As they still went on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire parted the two of them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Joshua 10:12 (Amplified Bible)

Then Joshua spoke to the Lord on the day when the Lord gave the Amorites over to the Israelites, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, be silent and stand still at Gibeon, and you, moon, in the Valley of Ajalon!

B. GOD has established His Kingdom and Throne forever.

"my kingdom for all time, and his throne will be secure forever.’"

Isaiah 54:10 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Hebrews 7:24 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

But because Jesus lives forever, his priesthood lasts forever.

2 John 1:2 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

because the truth lives in us and will be with us forever.

It's all thru CHRIST who lives in us and will be with us forever.

IX. CONCLUSION:

CHRIST is faithful as the Son of GOD over GOD's House, and GOD, the Father has established His Throne and Kingdom forever in CHRIST.
