Youth Sermon: Completely Restored

The Ultimate Comeback

Hey guys, let's dive into a crazy story from the Bible today. It's all about two people who were in really tough spots, but they found hope and healing when they met Jesus. This story is found in Mark 5:21-43.

Imagine this: You're in a crowd, and there's this guy named Jairus, a big shot at the local synagogue. His daughter is super sick, like on her deathbed. He's desperate, so he goes to Jesus and begs Him to come and heal her. Jesus agrees and they start heading to Jairus' house.

Now, picture this: In that same crowd, there's a woman who's been sick for twelve years. She's tried everything, seen every doctor, spent all her money, but she's only gotten worse. She hears about Jesus and thinks, 'If I can just touch His clothes, I'll be healed.' So, she pushes through the crowd, reaches out, and boom! She's healed instantly.

Jesus stops and asks, 'Who touched me?' The woman is scared, but she admits it was her. Jesus tells her, 'Your faith has healed you. Go in peace.'

It's all about reaching out to Jesus when you're in a tough spot, trusting Him, and believing that He can turn things around.

The Ultimate Charger

While Jesus is still talking to the woman, some guys come from Jairus' house and say, 'Your daughter is dead.' But Jesus tells Jairus, 'Don't be afraid; just believe.' They get to the house, and Jesus tells the mourners that the girl is just sleeping. They laugh at Him, but He goes in, takes her hand, and tells her to get up. And she does!

So, what's the takeaway here? It's all about reaching out to Jesus when you're in a tough spot, trusting Him, and believing that He can turn things around.

Now, let's do a quick object lesson. I want you all to take out your phones. Imagine your battery is at 1%. You're desperate for a charger. That's like us when we're in a tough spot. We're running on empty, and we need Jesus to recharge us. Just like plugging in your phone, reaching out to Jesus can bring us back to full strength.

So, this week, when you're feeling low or things are tough, remember to reach out to Jesus. Trust Him, believe in His power, and watch Him work in your life.
