Commandments would talk with you!

Proverbs 6:22”…. When you are awake, they will talk with you.”

Talk with you! I’m today not talking about the whole gamut of worthless people who are talking with you, but this is about the ‘Commandments that would talk with you!” Sounds surreal yeah? Let me explain.

When you bind the Word of God on your heart always and tie them around your neck, then they would lead you, guide you and also protect you in the quiet, dark hours of the night. When the evil voice whispers to open the computer and watch porn, the voice of God would warn you never to do that, when you indiscriminately browse the net and when you are lost in Face Book chatting, the voice of God would nudge you to shut ‘everything’ and get into His presence. They will talk with you! You can hear the voice of God only when your heart is open for Him!

At nearly 900 feet in length and weighing over 46,000 tons, the gorgeous Titanic ship was the largest ship at sea in 1912. The Titanic took approximately 3 years to complete, construction began in 1909, and the ship was completed in 1912, the same year as her maiden voyage. On April 14 of the same year, the Titanic struck an iceberg and sank within 3 hours of the accident. Of the 2,223 people aboard the ship, 1,517 were lost. Three years to build but three hours to sink! The great “unsinkable” ship ignored warnings of ice bergs in the vicinity, maintained a high speed, hit an iceberg because it couldn’t change course fast enough, and sank, most passengers died, in large part because there weren’t enough lifeboats. Are you listening? Considering that safety was supposed to be paramount, the behavior of the crew is baffling, to the point of negligence. Don’t we have lessons to learn today from the above incidence, of the catastrophe that awaits everyone who choose to ignore warnings!

When you get pinged by that male colleague in your office and when he asks you for a date, don’t nod instantly, pause to hear the voice of God! Don’t allow lust to take over and ruin your life. Married men/women! Listen please! Spend time with God in His Word and in His presence before you set off for work, this way you can keep the evil away from your life. God would lead and guide you in an awesome way, when the enemy butts into your marriage relationship, God would kick him out. Do you hear me? Engagement to get married does not give you the license for physical relationship before marriage, stay away. Read the Word and hear the voice of God warn you! Church, youth fellowship and prayer cell are God’s strategy for His children to learn His ways! People fall because they have failed to be in His Sanctuary!
