Coming together!

Genesis 11:4”And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."

Observe the words, ‘Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower!’ How wonderful would it be if people come together for good reasons; but alas, today the church stands scattered while the evil forces are actively getting together to build Babel towers! True, there is rapid growth of churches, prayer groups, prayer cells, Teen group, Youth group, Corporate Christian fellowship and what not; nevertheless, ‘togetherness’ is on the wane in Christian circle.

I preached this message on Saturday morning passionately in the church, after which, along with few church members we went for ‘prayer walk’ around the area; among the group was two year old kid Asish as well.(Click CHURCH to view ) It is time we gather and come together to attack the surging demonic forces that has been coming against the world with all its destructive plans. Young Christian men and women! When was the last time you gathered to visit a local orphanage and preach the word to little kids? When was the last time, you gathered to visit a slum close by and make them happy with your little gifts and sharing of the Gospel? When was the last time you gathered to distribute Gospel tracts? Tell me. Boundless opportunities are there for those who have a zeal to do such work. Alas, today educated Christian youth are either sleeping or strolling in the malls on Sundays! Let me tell you something, when you sow your time for God, it would be REMEMBERED! I am reaping the harvest today of what I sowed a decade ago for God! I started afternoon prayer cell in my office on the terrace, a group of us would gather to worship and share the Gospel, many got saved through this gathering.

I am speaking to people going through extreme pain, delay, failure and discouragement; have you joined with people at home and prayed over the issue? We gather as a family to chat and gossip but I am talking about prayer today, are you listening? Devils are busy getting together, ruining and creating havoc while we slumber!

The eight Harry Potter films have collectively grossed $7.7 billion at the worldwide box office, and that’s not even counting the money coming in from the various tie-ins, events, theme park lands, and so on. Now, Film Studio Warner Bros. announced on 12th September 2013 that J.K. Rowling would be making her screenwriting debut with 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', the first in a new film series which is part of their expanded creative partnership with J.K. Rowling. Watch out! Brilliant brains are coming together to aggressively campaign witch craft, blood and ghost stories; while we are basking inside air-conditioned auditoriums!

One of the most amazing and astounding Gospel team that I have ever heard of were George Beverly Shea, the Gospel singer and Cliff Barrows, Musical director who joined Rev Billy Graham to work in the crusades conducted by him in the year 1947 and have worked together for more than 50 years. When Gospel singer Beverly Shea died this year at the age of 104, Billy (now 95) said, ‘George Beverly Shea was one of my closest friends for nearly 70 years.’ Ah, imagine being together for 70 years! Today, with puffed up egos, high tempers and selfish attitudes it is tough to work together!

Someone said: "Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success."
