A. Come to JESUS

"He said, Come!"

Romans 4:19 (Amplified Bible)

He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah’s [deadened] womb.

Philippians 4:13 (Amplified Bible)

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].

We have strength for all things if we only focus and remember the LORD JESUS who has given us strength.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (Amplified Bible)

But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Hebrews 12:2 (New International Version)

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Fix our eyes on the LORD JESUS not on the water, not on hindrances, not on obstacles, or anything that stops us from following the LORD JESUS.

ILLUSTRATION:

B. So get out of your comfort zone and walked on the water toward JESUS

"So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus."

Boat, ship or sail signifies your comfort zone. The place where you are comfortable with, easy with. It signifies your accustomed ways and means that you are familiar with that doing them seems like a routine to you.

Proverbs 30:19 (Amplified Bible)

The way of an eagle in the air, the way of a serpent upon a rock, the way of a ship in the midst of the sea, and the way of a man with a maid.

Acts 27:44 (Amplified Bible)

And the rest on heavy boards or pieces of the vessel. And so it was that all escaped safely to land.

Well, it will be broken off from you until you say that your Comfort Zone is the LORD JESUS CHRIST. You are greatly delayed by these routines, but when you trust the LORD JESUS CHRIST as the Captain of the Ship and the Ship Himself, you will arrive quickly and safely to your destination.

John 6:21 (Amplified Bible)

Then they were quite willing and glad for Him to come into the boat. And now the boat went at once to the land they had steered toward. [And immediately they reached the shore toward which they had been slowly making their way.]

Water signifies trials, testings and temptations.

Psalms 66:12 (Amplified Bible)

You caused men to ride over our heads [when we were prostrate]; we went through fire and through water, but You brought us out into a broad, moist place [to abundance and refreshment and the open air].

Psalms 88:17 (Amplified Bible)

They surround me like a flood all day long; together they have closed in upon me.

IX. CONCLUSION:

We will arrive on our destination safely if we continue to fix our eyes on JESUS and avoid the sidetrackers and attention-grabber obstacles, our whole attention must be fixed on JESUS. We can walk on water if we focus our eyes on JESUS by faith. Our destination in this life and on the next life is JESUS, so we focus our whole attention and being on JESUS.
