Summary: Be careful of who you hang out with as you may not like the consequences.

Rev 18:1-5

1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. KJV

Is it important to come out from among the unbelievers or the world? In 2 Cor 6:14-18, it was a prerequisite for God to treat us as sons and daughters. In this passage we are in danger of partaking of the sins of the ones we associate with and can receive the same plagues.

While we are allowed to dine with an unbeliever, we must be careful where we do that. Think of it. What if some Jews were friends with the Philistines and attended the banquet when Samson brought down the house? They would be just as dead as the sinners. Attend a party at someone's house and the police break in because the host has crack smoking and prostitution going on in the garage or another part of the house. You were just there for a meal and end up in jail. Make sure the party or meal is at Luby's or somewhere that there is a fair chance of no illegal activity going on.

We need to be careful who we associate with and it can be difficult at times. Many times we just do not know what a person may be doing or what they have done, but if you are going to bring them on staff you better at least do a background check. Safety of yourself and your members should be paramount.
