Plan for: Thanksgiving | Advent | Christmas
As a child of God, you have the right to be healthy in body, soul, and spirit. It's crucial to claim what belongs to you, otherwise, the enemy may steal or rob you of your divine inheritance.
Today, we will explore the topic of possessing our inheritance in Christ. As children of God, we have certain rights and blessings that are available to us. However, it is important for us to understand and claim these blessings, lest the enemy steals or robs us of our rightful inheritance.
Galatians 4:1-7 teaches us that as children of God, we are no longer slaves but heirs to the whole estate. We have been redeemed by Jesus and have received the full rights of sons and daughters. We are no longer in bondage but have been set free to enjoy the blessings of God.
Hosea 4:6 warns us that God's people perish due to a lack of knowledge. Ignorance is our greatest enemy, as it prevents us from possessing what rightfully belongs to us. The devil seeks to keep us in the dark and rob us of God's blessings by withholding knowledge from us.
To possess our inheritance, we must first get rid of ignorance. We need to know what God's Word says about us and what He has promised us. Without this knowledge, we cannot lay hold of our blessings. We must actively seek to know and understand God's promises for our lives.
Let's explore some of the promises that God has made to His children:
1. Salvation: John 3:16-18 assures us that whoever believes in Jesus will not perish but have eternal life.
2. Guidance: Isaiah 30:21 promises that God will guide us and show us the way to walk.
3. Courage: Isaiah 43:1 encourages us not to fear, for God is with us and will help us.
4. Provision: Psalm 37:25-26 assures us that the righteous will never be forsaken, and their children will not beg for bread.
5. Healing: 1 Peter 2:24 declares that by Jesus' wounds, we have been healed.
6. Fruitfulness: Psalm 107:41 tells us that God blesses the needy and increases their families.
7. Eternal Life: 1 John 5:11 assures us that God has given us eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Possessing our inheritance requires more than just knowing God's promises. We must also activate them through prayer. Just as Daniel prayed and fasted for the fulfillment of God's promises (Daniel 9:2-3), we too must persistently call upon God and remind Him of His Word until it is fulfilled in our lives.
In conclusion, as children of God, we have been given the right to possess our inheritance in Christ. It is crucial for us to understand and claim these blessings, as ignorance can hinder us from experiencing God's best for our lives. Let us stand firm in our faith, contend for the truth, and actively pursue the promises of God through prayer. May we never allow the enemy to steal or rob us of what rightfully belongs to us. Amen.
