Church At The Well Needs You Now

( A message from Pastor Ken)

I want to begin this morning by letting you know that I can think of no higher honor than you allowing me to be your pastor. From the first Sunday, December 5th 2004 to present Melissa and I have always known without reservation we were called to pastor here . Over the last six years over 140 people have came to this alter here and made a confession of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

The church here was barely breathing at best in 2004. But glory be to Jesus as he took what many had gave up as dead he breathed new life into. A fresh wind of the Holy Spirit to accomplish his will in this place that many had worked so hard to build and nurture over the last 48 years .

This morning I am ever so grateful for those who built this building and planted and watered here. Laboring for no other reason but loving Jesus and loving souls. Giving of their resources and self sacrifice of time and talent to accomplish their part in the building of the kingdom.

I am convinced this morning that many of those early pioneers here at the church on Salmon Lane looked beyond their allotted years upon this earth into the future generations that would enter into these doors.

I am equally convinced that while great men and women of God reaped great harvest here that they also planted and watered for the harvest we have seen over the last few years.

These preceding generations took seriously the biblical truth of holiness, love for their neighbor and a real and close walk with God. They embraced the power of Pentecost and the life changing encounter with Jesus Christ , available to every man and woman, every boy and girl.

They realized the best thing they could pass on to us , the next generation was a place of worship, a place where love abounds and Jesus could be found.

This morning we have been afforded a great opportunity.

Not only from our heritage and history but an opportunity from God.

We must move ahead . If you are a member here this morning or a guest you are here by divine appointment. We need You at Church AT The Well Church Of God.

Church At The Well Needs You Because Our Community Needs Revival Now!

Turn with me to the book of Nehemiah .

Nehemiah 1:3-4 (King James Version)

3And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

4And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

Church At the Well Needs You To Pray.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)

14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Nehemiah was the man God appointed to restore the wall. God is calling all within the sound of my voice this morning as well as those reading the text or watching on internet to pray for restoration . God is looking for someone to raise up and get a burden for this church like Nehemiah . God is looking for someone to get a burden for the next generation and pray for life changing revival at Church At The Well .

James 5:16 (King James Version)

16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Church At The Well Needs You Because We Need The Favor Of God As Well As The Favor Of The Community To Carry Out God’s Plan and Vision For This Church.

Nehemiah 1:11 (King James Version)

11O LORD, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.

Each one of us has a unique position in this area. You know people I do not know.

You have influence over people no one else in here has influence over .

God is calling us this morning to reach out to those we know.

Acts 2:47 (King James Version)
