Summary: What we must do to be get consecration
Christian Consecration
Romans 12:1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
After doctrine comes duty. After revelation responsibility. After principle comes practice. The Just shall live.
Who can be consecrated?
Only Believes. Ver.1
Hebrews 12:3For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
All believers Ver.1
2. What is consecrated?
The body. Ver.1Your bodies a living Sacrifice.
Jesus became a dead sacrifice by Grace.
Romans 3:25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
In gratitude we become a living sacrifice.
The mind.
Romans 12:2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
There is a carnal mind.
There is a spiritual mind.
3.How to become consecrated.
3.By yielding.
Romans 6:13Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Ver.2
4. Why should we be consecrated
Because of Gods mercy
Ver.1
Romans 9:16So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
Romans 11:32For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
1Corinthians 6:20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
5.The end results.
That you may prove the will of God.
Three things this includes.
To know Gods will.
Colossians 1:9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
2. To do Gods will.
Ephesians 5:17Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
John 1:10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
3. To enjoy his will.
Prove it to be good.
Show it is acceptable
It is perfect
