VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. CHRIST's first appearance: sacrificed once and for all to take away sins of the people

"Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all,"

Hebrews 9:25 (Amplified Bible)

9:25 Nor did He [enter into the heavenly sanctuary to] offer Himself regularly again and again, as the high priest enters the [Holy of] Holies every year with blood not his own.

Romans 6:10 (Amplified Bible)

6:10 For by the death He died, He died to sin [ending His relation to it] once for all; and the life that He lives, He is living to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him].

1 Peter 3:18 (Amplified Bible)

3:18 For Christ [the Messiah Himself] died for sins once for all, the Righteous for the unrighteous (the Just for the unjust, the Innocent for the guilty), that He might bring us to God. In His human body He was put to death, but He was made alive in the spirit,

1 John 3:5 (Amplified Bible)

3:5 You know that He appeared in visible form and became Man to take away [upon Himself] sins, and in Him there is no sin [essentially and forever].

This happened already 2,000 years ago when CHRIST offered Himself as a Sacrifice to save us and to make us the righteousness of GOD in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (Amplified Bible)

5:21 For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

B. CHRIST's second appearance: to bring full salvation to those who are waiting for Him

"will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him."

This refers to the rapture because it didn't say that CHRIST will land on earth but will only appear to change us.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (Amplified Bible)

4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first.

4:17 Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!

2 Thessalonians 1:10 (Amplified Bible)

1:10 When He comes to be glorified in His saints [on that day He will be made more glorious in His consecrated people], and [He will] be marveled at and admired [in His glory reflected] in all who have believed [who have adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him], because our witnessing among you was confidently accepted and believed [and confirmed in your lives].

Isaiah 25:9 (Amplified Bible)

25:9 It shall be said in that day, Behold our God upon Whom we have waited and hoped, that He might save us! This is the Lord, we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.
