VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. David and Job testified of this

"It has been solemnly and earnestly said in a certain place,"

Coming from King David

Psalms 144:3 (Amplified Bible)

144:3 Lord, what is man that You take notice of him? Or [the] son of man that You take account of him?

Psalms 8:4 (Amplified Bible)

8:4 What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him?

Coming from Job:

Job 7:17 (Amplified Bible)

7:17 What is man that You should magnify him and think him important? And that You should set Your mind upon him?

It might be that Job was reading the book of Psalms by then, or He had an awareness of what GOD thinks about him.

B. Son of Man - Graciously helped, cared for, visited and looked after

"What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You graciously and helpfully care for and visit and look after him?"

Job 25:6 (Amplified Bible)

25:6 How much less man, who is a maggot! And a son of man, who is a worm!

Because we are crucified with CHRIST, we are already dead, and dead people are eaten by maggots and worms.

Galatians 2:20 (The Message)

2:20 Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Psalms 146:3-4 (Amplified Bible)

146:3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

146:4 When his breath leaves him, he returns to his earth; in that very day his [previous] thoughts, plans, and purposes perish.

1 Corinthians 2:6 (Amplified Bible)

2:6 Yet when we are among the full-grown (spiritually mature Christians who are ripe in understanding), we do impart a [higher] wisdom (the knowledge of the divine plan previously hidden); but it is indeed not a wisdom of this present age or of this world nor of the leaders and rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing and are doomed to pass away.

Isaiah 51:12 (Amplified Bible)

51:12 I, even I, am He Who comforts you. Who are you, that you should be afraid of man, who shall die, and of a son of man, who shall be made [as destructible] as grass,

The wisdom of this world can only say "that we are only human, born to make mistakes.." and that old song goes, but it's not true, we are created in GOD's image, and we are one with CHRIST in the Spirit. Selfie is "selfishness" in short, but CHRIST-selfie is CHRIST-likeness. (1 John 4:17)

1 Corinthians 6:17 (Amplified Bible)

6:17 But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.

1 John 4:17 (Amplified Bible)

4:17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.

If CHRIST has been mindful of us, then our response to Him, motivated by His Love, is we are mindful of CHRIST. Always be conscious of CHRIST in us, not of ourselves, always be CHRIST-selfie not selfie.
