I. EXORDIUM:

Are you filled with the knowledge of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and filled with the HOLY SIRIT?

There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah.

V. THESIS:

CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT is faithful toward us.

Hebrews 3:6 (New International Version)

But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast.

Psalms 31:5 (New Revised Standard Version)

Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.

2 Timothy 2:13 (Amplified Bible)

If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.

B. Traditional writer: Prophet Jeremiah

C. Common expression: "as David his father" occurred 9 times

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Always enough flour

"There was always enough flour"

Flour symbolizes the LORD JESUS CHRIST because it's offered by the poor for sin offering and CHRIST is our sin offering.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Hebrews 10:5 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

That is why, when Christ came into the world, he said to God, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer.

Hebrews 10:8 (New International Version)

First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made).

Leviticus 5:11 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“If you cannot afford to bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, you may bring two quarts of choice flour for your sin offering. Since it is an offering for sin, you must not moisten it with olive oil or put any frankincense on it.

Numbers 8:8 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Have them bring a young bull and a grain offering of choice flour moistened with olive oil, along with a second young bull for a sin offering.

CHRIST is always more than enough for us.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

Philippians 4:19 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

B. Always enough olive oil

"olive oil left in the containers,"

Olive oil is one of the many symbols of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Exodus 30:31 (Amplified Bible)

And say to the Israelites, This is a holy anointing oil [symbol of the Holy Spirit], sacred to Me alone throughout your generations.

1 Samuel 16:13 (Amplified Bible)

Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

Zechariah 4:6 (Amplified Bible)

Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.

The HOLY SPIRIT will never be consumed because He will always be with us as long as we remain in Him.

1 John 2:27 (New International Version)

As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him.
