Summary: We all have a past; and that past will have it's share of failures. However, we must not let that past hinder our possessing the promises of our future.

Quotes – William (Bill) J. Clinton:

“Strength and wisdom are not opposing values.”

“Let us all take more responsibility, not only for ourselves and our families but for our communities and our country.”

“Part of our essential humanity is paying respect to what God gave us and what will be here a long time after we're gone.”

“…Make the best possible decision you can not only for yourself but also for your children and grandchildren…”

Joshua 3:1-14

The miracle of Jordan’s parting was on hold for 40 years.

In the past they had made mistakes.

They had lost faith.

However, they didn’t let the Pain of the Past keep them from the Promise of a Future.

They overcame.

They had faith in the Lord that went before them.

Don’t let the Pain of defeat and failure in your Past rule over you.

Don’t let your failures define you.

Learn from Your mistakes, failures and mess-ups.

Don’t dwell on them.

“Many of life's failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” - Thomas Edison

“I've come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy” - Anthony Robbins

“Most people achieved their greatest success one step beyond what looked like their greatest failure.” - Brian Tracy

“My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure.” - Abraham Lincoln

It is important to accept the fact of our weakness, and propensity for making wrong choices.

For messing-up and royally failing.

It is also important to make an assertive effort to do something about it.
