Summary: GRUMBLE OR HUMBLE

Philippians 2:8 says,

“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross.”

Jesus humbled Himself. And because He humbled Himself, God exalted Him.

In 1986, two ships collided in the Black Sea. Hundreds died — not because of technology failure, but because of pride. Both captains saw each other. Both could have changed direction. But neither wanted to yield first. By the time they realized, it was too late.

Pride destroys.

Humility saves.

Humility brings unity.

Unity brings encouragement.

And when the world sees unity, God is glorified.

Humility is one of the greatest exercises for the inner man.

Humility in action may attract people’s attention,

but humility in heart attracts God’s attention.

The Bible says, “Humble yourselves… that He may exalt you in due time” (1 Peter 5:5–6).

When Christ humbled Himself to the cross, God exalted Him to the throne.

If we humble ourselves in the crosses we face today, God will crown us tomorrow.

Choose humility.

Choose unity.

And let God be glorified in your life.

Amen.
