Summary: A Mighty God

Children of the ‘Might’ god are those in search of an insatiable desire to fulfill something that they believe is missing, and that will bring satisfaction in their life. For some it’s wealth and materialism, for others it may be the next fix or drink, and for still others, it could be power or position. The number of these ‘Might’ gods who they believe will bring them happiness and peace is as many as the men and women who seek them. Sadly, though their endeavors are based on a lie. The enemy of mankind, Satan is the father and master of deception. (John 8:44) Each day these people by the billions live their lives believing this next step ‘might’ bring them to their desired end. They think to themselves; “Maybe I’ll find the peace and happiness I’m so desperately searching for.” Satan has deceived them and the miserable unfulfilling life they’re leading will only end in the ultimate punishment of Hell.

That being said, I want to tell you of the children of the ‘Mighty’ God. These are the people who find true sufficiency in Christ, He is their everything. The difference is the peace and happiness that the world seeks through its ‘Might’ gods are completely and utterly fulfilled in Christ. Our wants and desires match up with His, and His will; “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new.” (II Cor. 5:17) He gives peace, happiness, fulfillment, and security knowing that He has paid it all in relation to our old man and our sinful nature. Not only does He give these things to His children on the mountain tops of life, He also is there in the valleys and deserts of life. In fact, it is there in the valleys, when you sense Him the most and His wonderful peace that passes all understanding. (Philp. 4:7)

The question for you today: if you are lost, do you want to live out your life unfulfilled and unhappy, and have Hell to face in judgment? If not, choose the Lord Jesus Christ, He is the only answer. (John 14:6)

Christian if you are truly a child of the King let go of the ‘Might’ gods of your life and rest in the everlasting arms of His love.
