5. WEAKNESSES OF HAMAN
a) He was arrogant and proud (Esther 3:5)
His pride made him blind to reality, thinking he was untouchable.
b) He was full of hatred and bitterness (Esther 3:6)
He allowed his anger against Mordecai to control his decisions.
c) He was deceitful and manipulative (Esther 3:8-9)
He tricked the king into signing the decree against the Jews.
d) He was blinded by his desire for revenge (Esther 5:9-14)
His entire focus was on destroying Mordecai, even when he had everything else.
e) Biblical Example: Absalom’s hatred for his brother led to his downfall (2 Samuel 13:28-29).
6. LESSONS FROM THE LIFE OF HAMAN
a) Pride leads to destruction (Proverbs 16:18)
Haman’s arrogance was his greatest downfall.
b) Hatred and revenge are dangerous (Romans 12:19)
His desire to destroy Mordecai destroyed him instead.
c) God protects His people (Isaiah 54:17)
No weapon formed against God’s children will prosper.
d) Wickedness will always be exposed (Ecclesiastes 12:14)
Haman’s secret plot was brought to light.
e) Biblical Example: Judas Iscariot’s betrayal of Jesus led to his own downfall (Matthew 27:3-5).
CONCLUSION
Haman’s life is a warning about the dangers of pride, hatred, and wicked schemes. Though he appeared powerful, God overturned his plans and destroyed him.
His story teaches that no one can fight against God’s people and win. Those who walk in righteousness, like Mordecai and Esther, will always see God’s victory.
