Summary: A message of Hope. God cares for you and He knows what is going on in your life.

Good Morning

Grab your Bible and say this with me:

This is my Bible

I am what it says I am

I have what it says I have

I can do what it says I can do.

Today I will be taught more of the Word of God

I boldly confess my mind is alert

My heart is receptive.

I will never be the same.

I am about to receive the incorruptible, indestructible, ever-living seed of the Word of God.

I will never be the same—

I’ll never be the same, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“Cast All Your Cares on Him—He Cares for You”

This message is Based on the song and on 1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.”

Introduction

There is a line in that beautiful song that was sung by a man named Gary Oliver.

Part of it goes like this.

“Cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you, and He knows what you’re going through.”

Church, that’s not just a lyric.

That is a promise straight from the heart of God.

Every one of us walks into this room with something weighing on our shoulders.

Some carry financial burdens.

Some carry stress, fear, or anxiety.

Some carry sickness.

Some carry heartbreak.

Some carry the weight of decisions or the concern for a loved one.

But the Word of God says, Cast it on Him.

Not carry it.

Not hide it.

Not handle it on your own.

Cast it.

Throw it.

Release it to Him.

Because He cares for you.

1. God Cares Enough to Carry What You Were Never Meant to Hold

The word cast in the original Greek means to throw upon with force.*

God is not asking you to gently hand Him your burdens—

He is saying: **throw them at My feet and don’t take them back.

Why?

Because He cares for you.

Not as a distant God, but as a Father who knows every detail of what you’re facing.

He knows the brokenness you hide.

He knows the tears you cry when no one sees.

He knows the battle in your mind.

He knows the weight you’ve been trying to carry alone.

And He says, Give it to Me.

2. God Understands What You’re Going Through

The song says, “He knows what you're going through."

Sometimes we think our struggles are too small for God, or too complicated, or too messy.

But Hebrews 4:15 says Jesus is touched by the feelings of our infirmities.

He doesn’t just know your situation—

He feels it.

He understands the pressure, the fear, the loneliness, the fatigue.

A young woman once came to church every Sunday with a fake smile on her face.

Inside, she was breaking—

Her job was unstable, her family was falling apart, and her anxiety kept her awake at night.

During one service, the pastor preached on this same verse:

Cast your cares upon Him.

She told the Lord, “God, I don’t know how to fix anything, but I’m giving You everything.”

She went home the same way many of us do—

The problem was still there…

But the weight was gone.

And in the next few weeks, things began to change:

Doors opened at work.

Her family began to reconcile.

Peace came back to her mind.

She said later, “Nothing changed until I let go and let God hold what I couldn’t."

Church—God can’t fix what you refuse to release.

When you cast your cares, He carries the weight and you step into peace.

-3. God Will Lift You Up When You Cast Your Cares Down

1 Peter 5:6 says, “Humble yourselves under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.”

Laying down your burdens is an act of humility.

It’s saying, “God, I trust You more than I trust myself.”

And the moment you cast your cares,

God begins the work of lifting you up.

He lifts your spirit.

He lifts your faith.

He lifts your hope.

He lifts your perspective.

And He will lift your situation in His time.

Altar Call

Today, the Lord is calling some of you to lay down what you’ve been carrying for far too long.

If you’re tired…

If you’re overwhelmed…

If you’re stressed…

If fear has gripped your heart…

If you’ve been carrying something that was never meant for your shoulders…

Come forward and cast your care upon Him.

Don’t leave with what you came in with.

Let today be your release day.

Let this altar be the place where you drop the weight and walk away free.

Time of Prayer

Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, we come before You with open hearts.

You see every burden, every worry, every fear, every weight.

And Your Word declares that when we cast our cares on You, You care for us.
