Summary: PEOPLE CAN BE DELICATE AND FRAGILE. WE NEED TO HANDLE THEM WITH EXTRA CARE.
CARE - FULLY
ROMANS 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Have you ever heard of men being fragile? can a person fall and break into smithereens? We have all heard of broken hearts, broken families etc. This bring into light that human beings need to be handled with care; great care. Why should we be handled in such a manner? One reason is that we are very valuable than we can comprehend. There is no useless human being that is why a God- Christ Jesus, had to die for us. He couldn’t have left all the glory in the heavens for a wretch like me.
But, do you realize the potential within your life? There is a common saying that unless someone loses a thing, one cannot know its true value. Unless a person realizes the value of his job opportunity, he cannot be reporting late to work daily. One can only be serious with all that he/she values.
I wish to illustrate an event where a neighbour within where I reside had his dairy cow bitten by a rabid dog. The veterinary doctor was called and he immediately condemned the animal. The cow was supposed to be killed and buried as soon as possible. The owner of the cow could believe what she was hearing. She couldn’t understand why her cow had to be killed. She cried and mourned like a baby over her dairy cow that gave her high milk yields. She realized that she would miss the income from the milk sales and she broke down into tears. But the it was her mistake for she valued the milk she got from the cow much more than the safety and well-being of the cow.
On the other side, a woman saw that her dog had some funny symptoms and so she tied up the dog and put it into a sack. She then called the veterinary doctor and explained to them the behavior of her lovely dog. The doctors told her that the dog had rabies and that she had done commendable work by bagging the dog since that made the job of killing it much easier! The woman broke down into tears on hearing the fact that her dog would be killed!
Christians are cautioned to work out our salvation with fear and trembling for this is a delicate gift. There are ‘stray dogs’ all over who are after infecting the church with spiritual rabies. Philippians 3:2 says, ‘watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh.’ These are after destroying your souls. Proverbs 4:23 cautions; ‘Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.’ Keep those ‘stray dogs’ from your life. Do not take your life for granted for there’s ‘something’ precious within you which is more valuable than gold. No wonder you are at the centre of a divine battle but the decision for victory lies within your heart.
A Christian who loses his anointing, is like a person who climbs the steps to the apex of an eighty story building and then dropped to the basement using the lift. How sad. Dear reader, do not let the enemy to explore your life by allowing him to plant his agents within you. Uproot and burn all that belongs to him for he has no part in the Lord’s kingdom.
