Called to Love
1 Corinthians 13:1-13
1. The Priority of Love (Verse 1 – 3)
A. It is important than the gift of tongues (Verse 1)
B. It is important than the gift of prophesy, knowledge and faith (Verse 2)
C. It is important than everything that we have (Verse 3)
2. The Personification of Love (Verse 4 – 7)
A. Love can be personified by patient and kindness ( Verse 4a)
B. Rejoices with the truth (Verse 6b)
C. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things (Verse 7)
D. Love cannot be personified by Jealousy, arrogance, inflation, rudeness, selfishness, hatred and cruelty (Verse 4b – 6a)
3. The Permanence of Love (Verse 8 – 13)
A. Love never fails (Verse 8a)
B. All the gifts are partial (Verse 8b – 9)
C. Only Jesus (The Perfect) is permanent (Verse 10)
D. We will know it as we grow to be a true servant of Jesus (Verse 11 – 12)
E. When faith and hope fails, Love will not fail (Verse 13)
F. Jesus never fails. He is love (1 John 4:8)
