2 Timothy 3:14 (Amplified Bible)

But as for you, continue to hold to the things that you have learned and of which you are convinced, knowing from whom you learned [them],

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Keep my head in all situations

"As for you, be calm and cool and steady,"

1 Corinthians 10:12 (Amplified Bible)

Therefore let anyone who thinks he stands [who feels sure that he has a steadfast mind and is standing firm], take heed lest he fall [into sin].

Colossians 4:2 (Amplified Bible)

Be earnest and unwearied and steadfast in your prayer [life], being [both] alert and intent in [your praying] with thanksgiving.

Matthew 26:41 (Amplified Bible)

All of you must keep awake (give strict attention, be cautious and active) and watch and pray, that you may not come into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Acts 20:31 (Amplified Bible)

Therefore be always alert and on your guard, being mindful that for three years I never stopped night or day seriously to admonish and advise and exhort you one by one with tears.

B. Endure hardship

"accept and suffer unflinchingly every hardship,"

James 1:12 (Amplified Bible)

Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor’s] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.

Matthew 10:22 (Amplified Bible)

And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake, but he who perseveres and endures to the end will be saved [from spiritual disease and death in the world to come].

Hebrews 12:7 (Amplified Bible)

You must submit to and endure [correction] for discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons. For what son is there whom his father does not [thus] train and correct and discipline?

Hardship in the ministry, not hardship in toil, labor and work trying to earn that hard-earned money. There's a great difference. We don't suffer hardship in our work and jobs because GOD is our Provider not us, even if we are fathers in our families, GOD is our Provider, we show up at work with promptness because we are there to receive GOD's blessings.

Philippians 4:19 (Amplified Bible)

And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 9:8 (Amplified Bible)

And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].

C. Do the work of an evangelist

"do the work of an evangelist,"

Ephesians 4:11 (Amplified Bible)

And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.

Acts 21:8 (Amplified Bible)

On the morrow we left there and came to Caesarea; and we went into the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the Seven [first deacons], and stayed with him.

Don't forget to evangelize along the way, our goal in this life is to duplicate ourself.

D. Discharge all duties of my ministry

"fully perform all the duties of your ministry."

Matthew 10:16 (Amplified Bible)

Behold, I am sending you out like sheep in the midst of wolves; be wary and wise as serpents, and be innocent (harmless, guileless, and without falsity) as doves.
