1. The Practice
The Usual Place - 1 And it came to pass in Iconium,
that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews,
The Usual People - into the synagogue of the Jews,
The Usual Practice - and so spake,
The Usual Power - that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
2. The Protest
The Source - 2 But the unbelieving Jews

1 Cor 16:8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost 9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.
The Eloquence - speaking boldly in the Lord,
The Excellence - which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and
The Evidence - granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
4. The Perplexity
It's Scale - 4 But the multitude of the city was divided:
It's Scope - and part held with the Jews,
It's Score - and part with the apostles.
5. The Plot
It's Certainty - 5 And when there was an assault made
It's Unity - both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers
It's Subtlety - to use them despitefully,
It's Severity - and to stone them,
6. The Parting
The Help - 6 they were ware of it,
The Haste - and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia,
The Hope - and unto the region that lieth round about:
7. The Preaching
The Place - 7 and there (Lystra and Derbe)
The Plan - they preached
The Plea - the gospel.
My faith has found a resting place, Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One, His wounds for me shall plead.
I need no other argument, I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died, And that He died for me.
