Build A Treasure

Summary: We can’t get into this deep sharing of the heart with one another unless we allow unity to have its way with us. Unity is a choice and we know that according to Psalm 133 it causes God to command a blessing.

Have you ever wondered what the Lord thinks, when His children get together to speak about him?
Well it is very special to Him! In fact the word of God says the words become His special treasure
Have you ever seen this scripture? Malachi 3:16-17
Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels
The Lord thinks so much of our speaking with one another and sharing about His ways, that he has a special book where all our conversations are recorded. Your conversations with your brothers and sisters are considered special jewels. The Lord loves to hear His children speaking about Him! And His wonderful acts of love. That’s why the enemy is always trying to separate believers, because there is a key in unity. If he can keep us apart he won’t have to think about all the treasures our words are building.
Unity always brings fellowship, and in fellowship we have communication, and in communication we create special treasure, most precious to the Lord.
The fact is, we will never always agree on how some things should be done, but in order to create special treasure we must choose to put aside our different ways of doing things and focus on the one key element. To speak ~to share ~ to Shout ~ and to worship Him! For in so doing we create treasure.
We can’t get into this deep sharing of the heart with one another unless we allow unity to have its way with us. Unity is a choice and we know that according to Psalm 133 it causes God to command a blessing.
I found this wonderful message from one of the Desert Fathers written around 400AD There were two old men who had dwelt together for many years, who never quarreled. And that one said to the other let us pick a quarrel with one another, even as other men do. "Ï know not how to quarrel said the younger" to which the older replied, "set then this brick in the middle and say this is mine. To which I will say, no it is mine, from whence quarreling will begin." So they placed the brick in the midst, and one said "this is mine", to which the other said, "if this be so, then take it and go thy way in peace". So they were unable to quarrel .~ Sayings of the Desert fathers
We may not always agree with our brother but we can make a choice for unity. When we see unity we will see the Glory of God manifest. …….The bible says "The whole earth shall be covered with the knowledge of the glory of God" Man has the capacity for great things through unity, He also has the capacity for evil, remember the tower of Babel…
The body of Christ is made up of many ethnic groups ~ Many cultures ~ many different soci-economic groups But if we want to see the Glory of God we must walk in our diversity and accept our difference and be in unity!
On a Motorway near my home wildflowers have been sown on the verges and median strips. There is an amazing beauty in the wildflowers.
On there own, they seem like weeds but together they paint a symphony of colour, their unity brings a carpet of glory that one wildflower on its own cannot achieve. The thing about wild flowers is that they just pop up and seem very random in their individual appearance.
In these last days of Harvest and glory we will see many new brothers and sisters just pop up! They will be different to you but they are of you. As you are of Him! We can choose to see our brothers and sisters as Dads kids or we can walk in dis-unity and grumble all day long and wonder why we never see an anointing or the Glory in the house.
God’s real treasures are not to be found in a bank or in a safety deposit box or in bricks and mortar. His real treasure is beside you, your brother or your sister. WE ARE WALKING Treasures …. Jewels set apart for Him.
Ephesians 4:2-3 Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Always keep yourselves united in the Holy Spirit, and bind yourselves together with peace. John 17:21
My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father—that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me.
