VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. GOD brought many sons into Glory
"For it was an act worthy [of God] and fitting [to the divine nature] that He, for Whose sake and by Whom all things have their existence, in bringing many sons into glory,"
Glory means dignity, honor, praise, worship. We are GOD's dignity to the praise of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Romans 8:14-18 (Amplified Bible)
8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
8:15 For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!
8:16 The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God.
8:17 And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.
8:18 [But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us!
2 Corinthians 6:18 (Amplified Bible)
6:18 And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
Isaiah 43:6 (Amplified Bible)
43:6 I will say to the north, Give up! and to the south, Keep not back. Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth—
Hosea 1:10 (Amplified Bible)
1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered; and instead of it being said to them, You are not My people, it shall be said to them, Sons of the Living God!
Romans 9:26 (Amplified Bible)
9:26 And it shall be that in the very place where it was said to them, You are not My people, they shall be called sons of the living God.
Hosea 2:23 (Amplified Bible)
2:23 And I will sow her for Myself anew in the land, and I will have love, pity, and mercy for her who had not obtained love, pity, and mercy; and I will say to those who were not My people, You are My people, and they shall say, You are my God!
CHRIST called us, and we have not called Him, He is the Sole Reason why we are all here as sons and daughters of the Living GOD.
John 15:16 (Amplified Bible)
15:16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.
B. GOD made the Author of Salvation perfect through suffering
"should make the Pioneer of their salvation perfect [should bring to maturity the human experience necessary to be perfectly equipped for His office as High Priest] through suffering"
Hebrews 6:20 (Amplified Bible)
6:20 Where Jesus has entered in for us [in advance], a Forerunner having become a High Priest forever after the order (with the rank) of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible)
12:2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
