Contributed by Ian Humphrey on Nov 10, 2015 (message contributor)
Summary: Prayer
Malachi 3:1 - 12
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
1. THE PLAN...Bring. - This Scripture says, “Bring,” not “send.”
The wise men did not send their gifts, they brought them.
The woman with the alabaster box did not send her gift. She brought it.
There Is :- Worship in Bringing, “She hath done what she could.”

2. THE PEOPLE...Ye - This “ye” means all the people of God
Exodus 30:11 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 12 When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the Lord,
Must Jesus bear the cross alone, And all the world go free?
No, there’s a cross for everyone, And there’s a cross for me.
3. THE PORTION...all the tithes.
Leviticus 8:22-24 - The Consecration of Priests -
And he brought the second ram, the ram of consecration. Then Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram, and Moses killed it. Also he took some of its blood and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. Then he brought Aaron's sons. And Moses put some of the blood on the tips of their right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. And Moses sprinkled the blood all around on the altar.
These consecrated priests were stained with the blood of sacrifice.
They should hear differently because the blood was on their ear.
They should work differently because the blood was on their thumb.
They should walk differently because the blood was on their toe.
It was applied to the right ear, hand, and foot. (Strongest)
God wanted their best to be dedicated to Him.
4. THE PLACE...“The storehouse.” - Turf Shed.
5. THE PURPOSE. . . “That there may be meat in mine house.”
6. THE PROPOSITION...“Prove me…” - "God Answers Prayer"
I know not by what methods rare, But this I know, God answers prayers.
I know that He has given His Word, Which tells me prayer is always heard,
And will be answered, soon or late, And so I pray and calmly wait.
I know not if the blessing sought, Will come in just the way I thought;
But leave my prayers with Him alone, Whose will is wiser than my own,
Assured that He will grant my quest, Or send some answer far more blest.
7. THE PROMISE...“Open the windows of heaven,
8. THE PROVISION... and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
