Brethren Should Fight Together

BRETHREN SHOULD FIGHT TOGETHER

Numbers 32: 6-9

SHALL YOUR BRETHREN GO TO WAR, AND SHALL YE SIT HERE? --- It takes all of us not just part: Not just leaders but all the brethren! -- Leaders are expected to be faithful and we lose confidence in them if they are not. --- NO PASTOR, DEACON, TEACHER OR OFFICER IS WORTHY WHO IS NOT FAITHFUL (Eph. 4:1) --- But Note Again... Not just the leaders but Everyone! --- Some say, That Preacher, Deacon, Teacher, etc.... is going to give account to God one day. The Bible says we all will give an account to God one day. (Rom. 14:12)

IN ORDER TO HAVE THE KIND OF CHURCH WE ARE SUPPOSE TO HAVE – EVERYONE MUST GET IN THEIR PLACE AND ALL WORK TOGETHER!

In Judges 7:21 - And they stood every man in his place. --- In Joshua 6 - All the people got in their place and the walls of Jericho fell. (Note they shouted before the walls fell)

WE MUST WORK TOGETHER! -- Story of the farmer and the two mules... He tied the mules together and put two bails of hay on each side, they began to pull in opposite directions trying to get the hay but was getting nowhere. Until finally one said lets work together. Lets go together to my bail of hay, you eat half and I’ll eat half then go to your bail and do the same and by working together we will still get a whole bail of hay. ----- Story of Old man and woman riding wagon.... The two old mules were so faithful in pulling them, where they needed to go. One day they entered a deep mud hole and the two mules just worked hard together and went right through the mud hole. The woman look at her husband and said, Why can’t you and I pull together like that. He said, we could if there was only one tongue between us!

You can’t spell Church, Adult, Youth, Music, Sunday School, Soul Winning or Success without U!

NOTE SOME WAYS WE ARE TO WORK TOGETHER:

1. IN THE SPIRIT OF FAITH: Building each other up, That we walk by faith and not by sight!

Encourage one another.... Build up, Do not tear down! -- Anyone can tear down, it takes someone special to build up! -- Edify one another - Rom. 14: 13,19 --- Esteem one another - Phil. 2:2,3.

Be Optimistic! -- God’s Going To Win! -- Like the Old Westerns... The Villian had tied Sally on the railroad tracks, the good guy was tied up in a shack... Sally laying on the tracks hollering, help me, help me... the train was fastly approaching it seemed as though Sally would be killed, But just in time... The good guy got lose, took care of the bad guy, rescued Sally and rode off in the sun set and gave Sally a kiss! ----- When the Pastor says lets go get Moby Dick, You say I’ll get the row boat and the tartar sauce! --- Story of two brothers who decided to become Indian Scalp Hunters... Things weren’t going to good. One night one of the brothers prayed and asked God to give them alot of scalps... The next morning he woke up and there were thousands of Indians all around them... He woke his brother up all excited saying.... Wake up... We are rich, we are rich, we are rich!

2. IN THE SPIRIT OF TENDERNESS AND FORGIVENESS

Eph. 4:32 - And be ye king one to another tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. – Mark 11:26 - If we don’t forgive neither will God forgive us.

3.IN THE SPIRIT OF FRIENDLINESS

People will attend a friendly Church! Visitors need to be welcomed! People will attend where they feel they are loved and appreaciated. – Pr. 18:4 - He that hath friends must show himself friendly.

4.IN THE SPIRIT OF LOVE

John 13:35 - By this shall all men know ye are my disciples, if ye love one another.

NOT FEELING, BUT WILLING! --- Proverbs 17:17 - A friend loveth at all times!

LET US FALL ON OUR KNEES AND BEG GOD TO HELP US WORK TOGETHER IN FAITH, TENDERNESS, FORGIVENESS, FRIENDLINESS AND LOVE.
