Summary: ALL IS NOT VANE IN CHRIST!

BREAKING THROUGH

OBSERVATION: MANY SCHOLARS ACKNOWLEDGE SOLOMON AS THE AUTHOR OF ECCLESIASTES. BIBLE SCHOLARS DO NOT AGREE ON THE DATE OF THE WRITING. A GOOD THEME WOULD BE LIFE WITHOUT GOD IS MEANINGLESS.

INTERPRETATION: ECCLESIASTES 2: 9 (NKJV) SO I BECAME GREAT AND EXCELLED MORE THAN ALL WHO WERE BEFORE ME IN JERUSALEM. ALSO, MY WISDOM REMAINED WITH ME.

ECCLESIASTES 2: 9 (THE BOOK) SO I BECAME GREATER THAN ANY OF THE KINGS WHO RULED IN JERUSALEM BEFORE ME. AND WITH IT ALL, I REMAINED CLEAR-EYED SO THAT I COULD EVALUATE ALL OF THESE THINGS.

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A GENUINE DESIRE TO HELP PEOPLE HAVE A BETTER FUTURE LIFE. HOWEVER, THEY DISCOVER THE TASK DAUNTING, COMPLICATED AND SOMEWHAT HOPELESS. THEY HAVE A MINDSET THAT SOLUTIONS WILL COME FUTURISTICALLY.

HOWEVER, SOMETHING CALLED EVIL DESIRE CAUSE MANY OF THE WORLD’S PROBLEMS. WRONG MOTIVES, SELFISH BEHAVIORS AND GREED CONTROLS. READ ROMANS 7: 17-20.

NO OLD SOLUTIONS WORKED: VANITY, VANITY!

APPLICATION: NOT ALL IS VANITY. GOD CAN DO A COMPLETELY NEW THING IF YOU LET HIM. HE CAN TURN UNBELIEF INTO BELIEF, SET YOUR CAPTIVE HEART FREE AND CHANGE YOUR DESIRES! JEREMIAH 29: 11 (NKJV) FOR I KNOW THE THOUGHTS THAT I THINK TOWARD YOU, SAYS THE LORD, THOUGHTS OF PEACE AND NOT OF EVIL, TO GIVE YOU A FUTURE AND A HOPE.
