God is working every day to bring us together as one family under the leadership of Christ. The love of God is beyond our understanding. The church's approach to the world should be "Us for Them" instead of "Us versus Them."

Youth Sermon: Breaking Down Walls

Introduction

Hey guys! Today, we're going to talk about something from the book of Ephesians. It's all about how massive God's love is. It's so big, we can't even fully understand it. But it's not just something to know about, it's something to experience together. God's love heals us and sets us free.

The other big idea is that God wants to bring everything together under Jesus. We're really good at dividing ourselves, but God wants to bring us all together. This is awesome news! God wants to break down the walls that divide us.

God's love is so big, we can't even fully understand it. But it's not just something to know about, it's something to experience together.

Object Lesson

Imagine a wall made of Lego bricks. Each brick represents something that divides us - race, language, culture, even our favorite sports teams. But what if we could break down that wall? What if we could use those same bricks to build a bridge instead? That's what God wants to do. He wants to break down the walls that divide us and build bridges that bring us together.

Main Teaching

1. Identity check! God sees us as His kids God sees us as His kids. We're not orphans. We have a Dad in heaven who's got our back. We don't need to stress because God's got us covered.

2. God's plan is unity under Jesus God's plan is to bring everything together under Jesus. He's not into division. He wants us to be united, not divided. We can team up with God by loving others with an 'Us for Them' mindset.

3. You've got the Holy Spirit You've got the Holy Spirit in you. The Holy Spirit isn't just a feeling, but a person who guides, teaches, and empowers us. You've got the full version of the Holy Spirit, not a limited version. Live in the Spirit by faith, not by feelings.

Life Application

So, what does this mean for you? It means that you can start breaking down walls in your own life. Maybe there's a wall between you and a friend, or a family member. Maybe there's a wall between you and someone at school who's different from you. You can start breaking down those walls by showing them love and kindness. Remember, it's 'Us for Them,' not 'Us versus Them.'

Conclusion

So, to wrap it up: - God's love is beyond our understanding. Experience His love today. - God sees you as His kid. You've got the Holy Spirit in you. - God is working to bring us all together under Jesus. Love others with an 'Us for Them' mindset.
