Summary: Let’s consider a book written in Heaven.
Book of Life
There is no end to book writing and making books. Each one is written to offer some insight, to give some new direction, or to reaffirm some old.
But God says there is nothing new under the sum.
Ecc 1:9 "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun."
But there is no end to book writing.
Ecc 12:12-14
Most books are written for money.
A man could be a speed-reader and not read all the books in a lifetime. Today we have gone to Microfilm and still there is a problem of storage for all the books.
Many books should not have ever been written, and should be destroyed.
Today-"Black arts", "Sex magazines-Playboy, etc", "Sensual books", "books that pretend to be divine", "books of false prophets"
Let’s consider a book written in Heaven.
"The Book of Life"
Written only in heaven.
The Book of Life is written by God and Jesus Christ in heaven.
It is not the Bible nor the New Testament. The New Testament is referred to as the law of the spirit.
Rom 8:2 "For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
"The Law of Liberty" James 2:25
The Words of this Life"
John 12:48 says that is the words of Christ that shall judge us.

Notice books (N.T.) book (of life)
"The Book of Life" is a register of names.
Many such kinds of books have been written, from times of old.
Gen 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam.
Nehemiah 7:5 "...I found a register of genealogy of them which came up at first."
But the Book of Life is written in heaven not here. Luke 10:20
Those who worship the beast in any way will not have their name written in the Book of Life.
Rev 13:8 & 17:8 then Ps 69:27-28
Those who become a member of God’s family are written there.
God’s children.
Remember Luke 10:20
Apostles. This is a register of the family of God.
The Lord’s people have their names there.
Dan 12:1 "...Thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the Book of Life."
The names of those who fear God & think on his name.
Mal 3:16-17
Laborers of the gospel
Phil 4:3 "fellow workers whose names are written in the Book of Life."
The Church
Heb 12:23
"The Lord..."
How do we get our names in the Book of Life?
By becoming a child of God....
By being a member of the church....
By obeying the gospel.
Gal 3:26-27
Col 1:12-14
We can get our name blotted out by Christ.
Rev 3:5
Rev 22:19
The only part we have in the Book of Life is our name.
Ex 32:30-34
The Book of Life is very important to us.
Rev 20:14-15
But if our name is there Christ will confess us.

Is your name in the book of life?
This is the bottom line.
Is your name still there?
How we get it there
