Boldness A-Z

J- Bold about Jesus

Romans 10:9,10 / Matt. 16:13-16

We have been considering many ways and things that Christians should be bold or courageous about. We have touched on topics from being bold in our actions, Bold against brutality, Bold in our conversations, boldness in defense of the Gospel. we considered that we shpould be bold in our example, bold in our finances, bold concerning our goverment. We talked about being bold about the hope that we have, and last week we spoke about being bold concerning the inclusiveness of the Gospel...Whosoever!

This week we are the letter J. And since none of these other things would matter without Him, I think we should look at being bold concerning Jesus! There a lot of thing we should be bold in sharing about Jesus but today we will concentrate on being Bold about who Jesus is.

Romans 10:9,10 tells usthat confessing Jesus as Lord is part of and evidence of our Salvation. "9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. "

Mathew 16 "13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets."

The World will tell you that Jesus was a good teacher.

The world will tell you He was a good man.

The world might say He was the Son of God

The world will say that Jesus is dead

The Written Word Says...

1. He is the Author of Life

John 1 "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."

2. He is our Atonement

Romans 5 "8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement".

3.He is Alive

Acts 1"3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:"

Rev 1 "18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."

Jesus Th Living Word Himself tells us who He is...

John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

John 6:35 "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."

John 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

John 8: 58 "Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."

The World has a partial answer but not a correct answer. The written Word Tells us who Jesus is. The Living Word confesses who He is.

But the importanat question, the one we need to be boldest about is, who do you say that He is?

Matthew 16 "15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."

let me tell you who Jesus is to me without apology without a doubt, what I believe with all my heart...

He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!

He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!

He is the Architect of the universe and

The Manager of all times.

He is the King of kings and Lord of lords

He always was, He always is, and He always will be...

Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!

He was bruised and brought healing!
