BLESS THE LORD
PSALM 103:1-12
….I HAVE TO START OUT BY SAYING THAT I AM NOT SURE WHERE THIS THOUGHT ORIGINATED FROM. IT WAS PENNED DOWN IN MY BIBLE MARGIN. IF IT CAME FROM ONE OF THE MEN IN THE GROUPS ALLOW ME TO SAY THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THESE TOUGHTS PREACHED!!!
THEY MAY HAVE COME FROM THE TREASURY OF DAVID BOOKS ON PSALMS I’VE BEEN READING, EITHER WAY HERE THEY ARE AS SIMPLE AS IT GETS
INTRO:
V1-2 Lets observe the fact that David calls on all that is within him to remember all the Lord’s benefits upon him.
Not just his soul, but his mind, his heart, his received benefits, but with his entire mass he wants to bless the Lord. (Ps 68:19) read
V3-5 Lets notice that until iniquity is forgiven, healing, redemption and satisfaction are all unknown blessings
V5 If there is one thing that is certain for all of us is that our mouths need renewing
V7 To know ‘about God” is to know only His works
To know ‘Him’ is to know His ways and character
V9-10 Admitting sin is NOT the same as confessing sin.
Confessing sin is saying, I see things like God sees things, which brings on confession
