To encourage believers to embrace God's promise of a new season, heed His call to live holy lives, and experience the blessings that come from aligning with His will, even when it doesn't match our own plans.

Introduction

Good morning, family! Today, we're going to be diving into a message of hope, a call to righteousness, and the blessings that come from living a life in alignment with God's will. Our topic for today's sermon is "The Promise of a New Season, The Call to Live Holy, and The Blessing of Doing the Things of God."

Now, I'm sure many of us are familiar with C.S. Lewis, who once said, "God intends to give us what we need, not what we now think we want." This quote reminds us that the path God lays out for us may not always align with our own plans, but it's invariably for our good.

Let's read together from the book of Micah, chapter 4, verses 9 to 13: "Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pain seized you like a woman in labor? Writhe and groan, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in labor, for now you shall go out from the city and dwell in the open country; you shall go to Babylon. There you shall be rescued; there the LORD will redeem you from the hand of your enemies. Now many nations are assembled against you, saying, 'Let her be defiled, and let our eyes gaze upon Zion.' But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD; they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor. Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples; and shall devote their gain to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of the whole earth."

Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come before you today with open hearts and minds, ready to receive your Word. Guide us in understanding these verses from Micah, and help us apply them in our daily lives. May we embrace the new season you have promised, heed your call to live holy lives and experience the abundant blessings that come from doing your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
