DEVOURED THE SEED

Birds came …..

Matthew 13:4” .. as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up.”

I remember a dream I had during the initial days of my salvation, through which God demonstrated the above scripture very vividly and beautifully to me. After a powerful preaching on the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, clear explanation of heaven and hell, while the congregation were about to disperse, there arose from among the crowd a loud, cheerful voice distracting the crowd with invitation for party the next day. Slowly I saw the faces of the believers who just heard a powerful message turn cool/casual and they responded exuberantly to the man who started the ‘party talk’ and now they were all discussing as to where to party. Did you see that? The Lord clearly showed me that the demon would ‘quickly’ be in action, before the word takes root in you and grow. The birds (vultures) would come and devour it ! It is also very clear through this word that the demons know the power of the Word, even if humans have failed to comprehend it.

The double-edged-sword would go deep into the crevices of your heart, expose sins that were deeply hidden for several years, it would throw light on the dark side of your life, bring to light that which were buried and brings conviction of sin. That’s the key of the Word: Conviction, confession & conversion. Glory to Jesus!

What should I do to protect the seeds from being snatched away by the birds?

* Come prepared to Church to listen to the word of God by carrying a good Bible ( not pocket-sized Bible) * Come prepared to take notes to meditate it later during the day. When the enemy looks at your ‘efforts and diligence’, he is going to fail in his attempt to steal the word.

* Don’t spend the whole Saturday night doing worthless things( fill in the blanks here that is futile)and then rush to church , only to sit and sleep during the sermon. (Alas, Your whole exercise of coming to church has been stolen by satan)

* Attend good Bible Study to know deeper truths of the Bible, don’t be careless about Bible reading.

Walk closely with God so that He could expound the secrets of the Bible to you.

Prayer, Bible reading and fasting are indispensable for a Christian. Shoo the birds away!

Rough skinned heart

Matthew 13:15”For the heart of this people has become calloused, (hardened, rough-skinned) With their ears they scarcely hear, And they have closed their eyes, Otherwise they would see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, And understand with their heart and return, And I would heal them.'

The words ‘CALLOUSED HEART’ kind of pierced my heart , We are surrounded by people inside the church, in the streets, parliament and White House with people who have hardened their hearts like stone.

People today sin atrociously without any pricking of conscience: born-again men call women ‘sister’ inside the church but flirts with her at the same time, he is a hard-hearted criminal, women who cover their heads lie and cheat their husband at the same time, politicians get arrested for bribe, but wave to the crowd from their car before entering the prison with no remorse whatsoever. Christian husband treats his wife rudely, screams at her, humiliates her and then walks to church with a Bible (Hypocrite, pretender). Shame to Christianity! He needs conviction to change.

I invest hard prayers, teaching and advice in the lives of many people and also my students, but when they fail to change, my heart bleeds, but Lord told me ‘Bala, you see the outside but I watch the deep crevices of their hardened heart, do not grieve over someone who has rejected God and His counseling.’ This was painful, yet the truth! Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it? 10 "I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds.”

Let us ask God to touch the world and give them a new heart: Ezekiel 36:26 "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

GOOD SOIL

Matthew 13: 8 "And others (seed) fell on the good soil and *yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.”
