Summary: 5 reasons why the church does not have to go through the tribulation period

BIBLICAL PROOF THE CHURCH WILL NOT GO THROUGH THE TRIBULATION

I Thessalonians 4: 16-18

INTRO: There are a number of different opinions on the fact of whether or not the church will or will not go through the tribulation. One view is the Pre-tribulation view in which the church is raptured out of the world before the tribulation. Another view is the Mid-Tribulation where some believe that the rapture will occur 3 ½ years into the tribulation. And last there is the Post –Tribulation view that says the church will be raptured after the 7 year tribulation. In order to fully understand the meaning of this message you must know a little bit about the tribulation.

The Tribulation will be a 7 year period in which there will be nothing but chaos and death will . During this time the rise of the Anti-Christ and New World Order will take place. Anyone of the earth who professes to believe in Jesus Christ will have their head cut off. God will pour out his six seal judgments on this earth and all will be chaos. The tribulation will end with all the gathering of the nations to the battle of Armageddon where Christ will return victoriously to begin His 1000 Millennial Reign on the Throne of David in Jerusalem. But to say the church will have to go through this awful time or even part of it is a complete falsehood. I want to preach on this subject “BIBLICAL PROOF THE CHURCH WILL NOT GO THROUGH THE TRIBULATION”.

I. The promise to keep us out of the hour of trouble

A. (Rev 3:10) Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

II. When the Holy Ghost leaves we are going with Him

A. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-7

B. When the Holy Ghost leaves all the born again believers will be gone and righteousness will have left the earth causing mass confusion and chaos

III. The Tribulation is a time of the outpouring of God’s wrath and the church is exempt

A. Some folks believe the tribulation is the wrath of Satan. However, the

Bible calls is the Wrath of God 14 times

B. ( 1Thess 5:9) For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation

by our Lord Jesus Christ

C.(1Thess 1:10 ) And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

D. (Romans 5:9) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

IV. Who will go through the wrath of God

A. (Colossians 3:6) For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

B. (Ephesians 5:6) Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

C. (Romans 1:18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

V. He promised to come get us and he is not going to forget us

A. (John 14:1) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in

me.

B. (John 14:2) In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I

would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

C. (John 14:3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and

receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

C. (Acts 1:10) And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

D. (Acts 1:11) Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
