Beyond Reality

Summary: Looking beyond reality, into the spiritual, with faith.
Faith isn’t easy. Sometimes it takes all of our strength to muster up our faith, looking beyond reality, believing into what we can’t see. But faith is far more rewarding than our “reality.”
The problem with “Reality”
1. Inspires low expectations
*Many Christians come to services with low expectations, and they receive what they expect. But because we serve the Awesome God, we are called to come with great expectations.
2. Devises small plans
*Small plans happen when we have low expectations. Our Great God has big plans for you and I. He has called us to win souls, feed the hungry, comfort the brokenhearted, and love the unlovable.
3. Leads to little growth
*Small plans usually lead to little growth. No harvest will come unless the farmer prepares the field. It is in the preparation of the field that the farmer shows his faith in God, knowing the Lord of the harvest will provide the necessary conditions for the harvest to grow. The farmer spends the expense and effort, and God rewards him with a plentiful harvest.
