Summary: How a leper received a blessing, one that we will never forget about, and how Jesus has the power to do the same for you.

Mathew 8:1-4

“When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.” Great multitudes have not ceased to exist – people are still following Jesus and following his teachings every day. Jesus is the way to the likeness of the spirit of God. Most of us know that the spirit of God only answers to one name. My name is Darren, if you call me frank, I will not answer you, but if you call me Darren, my spirit will come to you, because that’s the name of whom I am. Reverence belongs to the lord; and we should always give this to the lord “And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

” He addressed Jesus as lord. Portraying the word worship is to express your love for a sacred person. The spirit of God can only be revealed by the name God chose to call himself, the son of God which is Jesus who is God. The truth about his visitation to earth was written in the Old Testament but fulfilled in the New Testament.

In order to be transformed, we got to let the children of this world crucify us for our stand in the liberty of Jesus, the New Testament; there is a cross for every believer. Don’t you want to follow his example for those who have serious needs “And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean? And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Not just any any man can do this- Who do you say that he is? I say he’s God; and you will agree: are we on the same page? It was never heard of for a man to have such power that Jesus has.

Back in those days, if you got sick or had a disease; you probably would die. Jesus saved the life of many. God is wonderful to all men. This leper man was chosen by the Lord to be a witness of what Jesus has the power to do. “And Jesus said unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.” Jesus stretched forth his and touched him and said be thou clean of thou leprosy.

It was gone all his leprosy, all of it disappeared. The Lord will put people in your life that are down and out; strive to follow the lord by doing what he did. Don’t go around laying hands on people without justification; make sure you got the justification from calling God’s name; we are justified by calling the name of Jesus and soon the spirit is going to show up. Interpreting what Jesus likes; I would certainly say it like this; Jesus loves crowds. Notice how Jesus led the leper man to himself, because he already knew great multitudes were following him.

Jesus knows all things. The gospel of Jesus Christ, well it use to be, is and will always be the top seller, yet people are departing from the faith. Reading the word of God only draws you to the Father. It’s got to happen, but you can stop it from happing by losing your focus.

“And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him” If you really want to know if a person really have Jesus in their heart: try the spirit to see whether it be of God. Trying a spirit is not the same as provoking a spirit: test the spirit with the characteristics of Jesus, love, joy, peace, happiness, temperance, meekness, longsuffering, kindness, and gentleness. The centurion that beseeched the Lord must have felt comfortably approaching Jesus.

There was a peace about Jesus that made people trust him for the moment.

This centurion trusted Jesus saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. He has faith; and faith is what it takes to please the Lord “Because he had the same love for his neighbor as himself, his heart worshipped the Lord, because God is love. Jesus had no respect of persons, whoever he came in contact with, they were ordained; and they were chosen.

“And Jesus said unto him, I will come and heal him.” You understand that the temperance of the spirit of God is to led people to Jesus; God is a spirit. Just one of these fruit of the spirit is enough to live forever with the Lord.

We’re walking through right now on dry land, at anytime the red sea can close up. Because the lord is long suffering, we need to be careful because you never know where the final line is drawn If Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, can make it to heaven, why can’t you. Just continue to strive
