Summary: TRUE FAITH IN CHRIST MEANS YOU LOVE YOUR FELLOW BELIEVERS.

BELIEFS THAT TRULY MATTER

OBSERVATION: ALL BELIEVERS BIRTHED INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD MUST LOVE THEIR FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST.

INTERPRETATION: 1 JOHN 5:1 (NKJV) WHOEVER BELIEVES THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST IS BORN OF GOD, AND EVERYONE WHO LOVES HIM WHO BEGOT ALSO LOVES WHO IS BEGOTTEN OF HIM. (THE BOOK-PARAPHRASE) EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST IS A CHILD OF GOD. AND EVERYONE WHO LOVES THE FATHER LOVES HIS CHILDREN, TOO.

POINTS TO PONDER:

A TRUE BELIEVER IN CHRIST MUST EMBRACE EVERYTHING REGARDING THE HISTORICAL CHRIST. HE BELIEVES CHRIST’S MESSIANIC DIVINITY AND MISSION. THESE REALITIES GIVE YOU REASON TO TRUST HIM ABSOLUTELY!

A TRUE BELIEVER LOVES THE LORD AS THE AUTHOR OF LIFE AND THE GIVER OF GIFTS. HE LOVES HIM AS THE BIBLICAL PROPHET, PRIEST AND KING. HE ALSO LOVES THE HOLY SPIRIT AS THE COMFORTER CHRIST PROMISED UPON HIS ASCENSION.

A TRUE BELIEVER LOVES OTHER TRUE BELIEVERS IN CHRIST. THEY SHARE THEIR MUTUAL JOYS AND TRIUMPHS IN CHRIST AND THEIR TROUBLES AND SORROWS.

THESE REALITIES ARE ACTION ORIENTED, LEAVING NO ROOM FOR COMPLACENCY.

APPLICATION: THE WRITER JOHN EXPRESSED CHRIST AS THE OBJECT OF FAITH AND LOVE AND THE NECESSITY OF LOVING FELLOW BELIEVERS IN CHRIST!
