I. The Purpose of the lamp stand
to hold the lamps that give light
to hold the lamps so the light is projected forward
Pro 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to
himself bringeth his mother to shame.

shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when
thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and

Pro 23:14 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the

III. The Power of the Lamp Stand
2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto
ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth
in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise
in your hearts:
Pro 31:24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles
unto the merchant. 25 Strength and honour are her clothing;
and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She openeth her
mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth
not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up, and call
her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
2 Tim 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned
and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned
them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy
scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation
through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given
by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man
of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
