BEING AVAILABLE FOR GOD – Luke 5:1-11
1. The Boat Borrowed – 5:2-3
- Jesus always uses his disciples
- Jesus borrowed the boys lunch
- God used the rod in Moses’ hand
- Elijah threw a stick into the water
- God could do it another way but He uses us.
2- The Boat Filled – 5:4-9
- If you lend Jesus your boat – He will fill it
- We must be willing to launch out in faith – v.4/ Heb 11:1,6
- We must be willing to act in faith according to His word – 11:5
- The result of their obedience – v.6
- When Jesus borrows something – He will fill it – 5:7-9/ Phil 2:13/ Acts 6:8-10
3- The Boat Abandoned – 5:10-11/ Mt 22:37-38/ 19:27-30
