Behold, the Father’s Care

Psalms 18:1-6 1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

2 The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower.

3 I will call upon the LORD, [who is worthy] to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, [even] into his ears.

EVERY CHILD OF GOD FACES ADVERSITY

My feet are on the Rock – Jesus Christ

My hiding place is in the Rock – Jesus Christ (Masada, my strong fortress).

The Lord my God is my Deliverer – I have trust in His power, his lover, his mercy, his ever constant watch over me, His ear is straining to hear my call, to hear my voice, to listen for the slightest sound of crying out for help ( Like a mother, who sleeps lightly, and is awakened instantly when her baby cries in the night, or who runs swiftly to its side when she hears even the possibility of trouble)

Not only does my God hear, care and watch, but He is able to do anything necessary to protect, deliver and help me. I have nothing to fear, for with a strong hand my Father will deliver me.

All I need to do is call out to Him. God will hear and He will answer my cry!

HOW DOES GOD REACT WHEN WE CRY FOR HELP?

Psalms 18:7-19

7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.

8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness [was] under his feet.

10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him [were] dark waters [and] thick clouds of the skies.

12 At the brightness [that was] before him his thick clouds passed, hail [stones] and coals of fire.

13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail [stones] and coals of fire.

14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.

15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

It’s a picture of the Almighty God of all Creation, Omnipotent in His power, Omniscient is his knowledge, who becomes angry at the enemy of my soul.

His wrath comes up and His face turns red, smoke comes from his nostrils and fire comes out of his mouth like a flame thrower to light the fires of his wrath and to consume any who would dare harm one of his children.

(There is no greater anger on earth than the anger we feel as parents when anyone tries to harm our kids. We will run to their defense and fight to the death without fear or concern for ourselves to deliver them. Woe to that man who will stand in our path of getting our children to safety, for there is no obstacle we will not face nor enemy we will run from to do all we can to deliver them)

GOD IS NO DIFFERENT WITH HIS KIDS AND HE HAS NO LIMITATIONS LIKE WE DO!

My Father in Heaven with rise from His throne, jump on the back of one of the powerful and swift cherubs that stand before His throne at “General Quarters”, ready for the first indication from its Commander to ride.
